Job Summary
We are seeking a dedicated Janitor to join our team at GeoQuip Manufacturing. The Janitor will be responsible for maintaining a clean and orderly environment, performing various cleaning duties, and ensuring that all areas are safe and sanitary on a DAILY basis.
This is a full-time position. Schedule is M-F. 40 hours per week. Full benefits apply, see below for more details.
Responsibilities
- Perform general cleaning tasks such as sweeping, mopping, dusting and vacuuming
- Clean and sanitize restrooms and replenish supplies, including cleaning commodes
- Empty trash receptacles and transport waste to disposal areas
- Maintain cleanliness of common areas including hallways, lobbies and break rooms
- Perform floor care duties including buffing, waxing and polishing floors
- Assist with minor maintenance tasks as needed
- Notify management of any repairs or maintenance issues
- Maintain inventory of all cleaning supplies.
Qualifications
- Proven experience in custodial or janitorial work preferred
- Knowledge of industrial cleaning practices and procedures
- Ability to maintain a high level of cleanliness and attention to detail
- Experience with facilities maintenance tasks is a plus
- Familiarity with commercial cleaning equipment and supplies
- Basic understanding of residential painting techniques is beneficial
- Ability to perform porter duties such as moving furniture or equipment as required
