Job Overview:
We are seeking a reliable and responsible Delivery Driver to join our team. As a Delivery Driver, you will be responsible for transporting goods and products to various locations. This is a physically demanding role that requires excellent driving skills and the ability to handle heavy lifting.
Responsibilities:
- Safely and efficiently operate delivery vehicles (vans)
- Plan and follow the most efficient routes for timely deliveries
- Load and unload goods from the vehicle
- Bring goods into customer's homes
- Ensure all products are properly secured during transportation
- Perform routine vehicle inspections and maintenance
- Maintain accurate delivery logs and records
- Provide exceptional customer service during deliveries
- Adhere to all traffic laws and regulations
Skills:
- Route driving experience, with knowledge of local areas and efficient navigation
- Ability to safely operate different types of vehicles, including vans and tractor-trailers
- Experience in warehouse operations, including loading and unloading goods
- Ability to handle heavy lifting, as some deliveries may require moving large or bulky items
- Excellent driving record with a valid driver's license
- Strong time management skills to ensure timely deliveries
- Exceptional customer service skills
