We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate LPN to join our dynamic team. The ideal candidate will play a vital role in supporting individuals with diverse mental health needs, including those with developmental disabilities, autism spectrum disorder, PTSD, and addiction issues. This position offers an opportunity to make a meaningful difference in clients' lives through direct patient care, behavioral support, and crisis management.
General Job Summary
As an LPN at Aspire Health Partners, your job purpose will be to provide a multitude of essential functions regarding the daily operations of the assigned program(s). These functions include – but are not limited to – adapting to new assignments effectively, performing routine assessments of patients prior to providing medications, dispensing and documenting all medications as ordered, taking patient vital signs, and performing other routine nursing activities. As an LPN at AHP, your role is vital to the treatment team and therefore requires flexibility to be able to assist in all areas within your scope practice.
Major Duties and Responsibilities
- Completing screenings and assessments associated with intake, continued stay, and discharge
- Perform duties to observe, assess, treat, and document tasks related to routine medical issues, patient intake/follow up/discharge visits, prescription medication orders/transcribing/administrating/dosing procedures/injection administration, vitals, blood draws/labs/lab send outs, drug screens/breathalyzers, other medical testing, patient behavior, and other related issues.
- Provide testing, vaccinations, education, and referrals, as appropriate, for Hepatitis and other medical issues
- Assisting medical providers with intakes, follow up visits, and discharge appointments, as well as crisis events
- Supporting medical assistants in their assigned duties
- Completing all required documentation within the EHR associated with service delivery and billing in accordance with AHP and program standards.
Additional Duties and Responsibilities
- Ensuring the proper disposal of bio-hazardous material
- May perform some administrative functions, including registration, financial, insurance verification and pre-authorization, and case management functions
- Perform or assist with any departmental operations, under direction and supervision, to maintain workflow and patient care
- Attend and participate in a variety of meetings and staffings to integrate activities, communicate issues, obtain approvals, resolve problems, and maintain specific level of knowledge pertaining to new developments, requirements, and policies.
- All functions must be completed while maintaining high standards of ethical and professional conduct while adhering to agency policies and procedures
Position Qualifications
- Education: Licensed Practical Nurse by the State of Florida; Graduated from an accredited nursing school
- Experience: 1 year experience related to addiction and/or psychiatric adult behavioral health care.
Other:
Acceptable Motor Vehicle Registration driver’s license record; Level II Background clearance. Proficient in Microsoft Office and Electronic Medical Record documentation. Must work well in a team environment and have excellent written and verbal communication skills, as well as high quality customer service skills.
