Household Manager & Family Assistant — Part-Time Rockport, TX Starting $20 | Approximately 20–25 hours/week
We are a busy family in Rockport looking for a dependable, organized, kind and trustworthy person to become our long-term Household Manager & Family Assistant.
This is a unique position for someone who enjoys variety and takes pride in helping a household run smoothly. We are looking for more than a housekeeper — we want someone who can eventually become a trusted extra set of hands for our family.
Responsibilities may include:
- Light housekeeping and keeping the home tidy and organized Laundry, linens and general household upkeep Grocery shopping, returns and household errands Keeping household supplies stocked and organized Coordinating deliveries, appointments and service providers Helping prepare the home before and after travel Caring for our dogs and occasional house/dog sitting when we travel Spending time with and assisting our adult daughter with activities, outings and her daily routine as needed Occasional transportation and errands Light social media assistance, including organizing photos/videos, uploading content and helping with simple posts Other household and personal-assistant tasks as needed
The person we’re looking for is:
- Dependable and extremely trustworthy Kind, patient and comfortable working closely with a family Naturally organized and detail-oriented Proactive and able to recognize what needs to be done without constant direction Comfortable with dogs Comfortable with an iPhone, social media and basic apps Respectful of our family’s privacy and able to maintain confidentiality Interested in a consistent, long-term position
Experience as a household manager, family assistant, personal/executive assistant, housekeeper, nanny or in hospitality is helpful, but character, judgment, initiative and reliability are most important to us.
Requirements:Valid driver’s license, reliable transportation, professional/personal references and ability to pass a background check.
Schedule:Approximately 20–25 hours per week to start. We have some flexibility in establishing a regular weekday schedule with the right person. Occasional house/dog sitting may be available when we travel.
Compensation:$20–$25/hour depending on experience, plus mileage reimbursement when using your personal vehicle for household errands.
We hope to find someone who wants to stay with us long-term, learn how our household works and eventually become someone we can completely trust to help keep things running when life gets busy.
