Duties
- Load and unload freight efficiently using appropriate equipment while adhering to safety protocols.
- Plan and execute route driving strategies to ensure timely deliveries across multiple destinations.
- Follow all traffic laws and safety regulations diligently to ensure personal safety and that of others on the road.
Skills
- Proven experience in truck driving, including delivery driver roles with route planning responsibilities.
- Familiarity with freight handling equipment like forklifts for loading/unloading cargo safely.
- Knowledge of driving regulations related to commercial vehicles and specific trailer types such as tractor-trailers or roll-off trucks.
- Strong attention to detail for vehicle inspections, load securing, and documentation accuracy.
- Excellent navigation skills for route driving efficiency and timely deliveries.
- Physical capability to load/unload freight manually or with equipment as needed.
