We are seeking a dynamic and motivated Assistant Store Manager to join our team! Responsibilities
- Assist the General Manager in overseeing daily store operations, sales, inventory control, and customer service activities
- Lead and motivate the retail sales team to achieve individual and store sales goals through effective training and coaching
- Supervise shift management by coordinating staffing schedules, delegating tasks, and ensuring operational efficiency during all hours of operation
- Oversee inventory management processes including stock replenishment, merchandising, purchasing, and inventory control to maximize product availability and minimize shrinkage
- Handle cashiering duties using POS (Point of Sale) systems; ensure accurate cash handling and reconciliation at shift end
- Maintain excellent communication with staff and customers; resolve issues promptly while promoting a positive shopping experience
- Support management in budgeting, sales management, pricing strategies, and operational planning to meet business objectives
Qualifications
- Proven experience in restaurant, or retail store management or assistant manager roles within the industry with supervising responsibilities
- Strong knowledge of retail math, POS systems, inventory management, merchandising, and cash handling procedures
- Excellent leadership skills with the ability to motivate teams and foster a collaborative environment
- Effective communication skills; bilingual or multilingual abilities are a plus for serving diverse customer bases
- Demonstrated ability in employee training & development, and managerial communication
- Basic math skills for financial transactions, budgeting, and inventory calculations
- Organizational skills with keen attention to detail; capable of managing multiple priorities efficiently
- Experience with retail sales management software; familiarity with POS systems preferred
- A proactive approach to problem-solving with strong time management abilities
