This is a hands-on position that combines working in our nursery yard with delivering plant material to customers and job sites. If you enjoy working outdoors, staying active, learning new skills, and have a passion for plants, we'd love to meet you.
Position Responsibilities
· Safely operate a 24-foot box truck with liftgate to deliver nursery products and plant material to customer locations and job sites.
· Load, unload, and secure plant material and other products for safe transport.
· Assist customers with deliveries in a professional, courteous, and friendly manner.
· Accurately match plant names, botanical names, and product numbers with customer orders.
· Obtain required signatures and complete delivery documentation.
· Pull customer orders and prepare them for pickup or delivery.
· Water, fertilize, prune, shape, display, and care for nursery inventory.
· Organize and maintain the nursery yard to ensure plants are healthy, attractive, and ready for sale.
· Operate tractors, articulated loaders, and other equipment to move larger plant material (training provided).
· Assist with irrigation and general nursery maintenance.
· Communicate effectively with dispatch, operations, and coworkers to ensure accurate and timely deliveries.
· Follow all company safety policies, operating procedures, and standards of conduct.
Qualifications
· Positive attitude with strong customer service and communication skills.
· Ability to read, write, and communicate effectively in English.
· Passion for working outdoors and with plants.
· Knowledge of Pacific Northwest landscape plants and familiarity with botanical names is highly preferred.
· Basic pruning knowledge is preferred.
· Experience with irrigation systems is a plus, or willingness to learn.
· Experience operating articulated loaders or similar equipment is preferred, or willingness to be trained.
· Ability to transition easily between tasks in a fast-paced environment.
· Organized, dependable, and able to work independently as well as part of a team.
· Ability to lift and carry up to 50 pounds regularly.
· Comfortable working outdoors in all weather conditions.
· Valid driver's license with a clean driving record required.
· Bilingual English and Spanish is a plus.
