Responsibilities
- Conduct regular patrols of the premises to monitor for suspicious activity, security breaches, or safety hazards.
- Operate access control systems to authorize entry and exit of employees, visitors, contractors, and vendors.
- Utilize CCTV surveillance equipment to observe and record activities across multiple areas, ensuring continuous security coverage.
- Respond swiftly to emergencies by following established procedures, including fire safety protocols, first aid assistance, CPR, AED operation, and emergency response procedures.
- Write detailed incident reports documenting any security breaches, accidents, or unusual occurrences with clarity and accuracy.
- Perform background checks on new employees or vendors as part of the onboarding or vetting process.
- Manage conflict de-escalation techniques to handle disputes professionally while maintaining safety for all parties involved.
Requirements
- Proven experience in security roles or related fields such as law enforcement or military service is highly desirable.
- Strong knowledge of physical security measures including CCTV operation, access control systems, and loss prevention strategies.
- Ability to perform manual handling tasks such as heavy lifting and maintaining physical security through patrolling and surveillance.
- Certification in first aid, CPR, AED operation, and Taser use is preferred; willingness to obtain necessary certifications if not already held.
- Excellent communication skills with the ability to write comprehensive incident reports clearly and accurately.
- Familiarity with emergency response procedures and compliance with security regulations is essential.
- Demonstrated conflict management skills with the ability to de-escalate tense situations effectively while ensuring safety.
