Job Summary
We are seeking a dedicated and dynamic Immigration Attorney to join our legal team. In this vital role, you will provide expert legal counsel and representation on a wide range of immigration matters, ensuring clients navigate complex immigration laws efficiently and effectively. Your expertise will help individuals achieve their immigration goals while maintaining compliance with all relevant statutes and regulations. Responsibilities
- Representation and defense in removal proceedings (Removal Defense)
- Case preparation before the Immigration Judge (IJ) and BIA
- Support in individual and master calendar hearings
- Drafting motions, briefs, and petitions
- Initial client interviews under supervision
- Legal research and case updates
- Coordination with paralegals and support staff
- Tracking procedural deadlines
- Evidence review and analysis for case building
- Direct client communication regarding case status
- Assisting in client preparation for hearings
- Other duties inherent to the position
Qualifications
- Juris Doctor (J.D.)
- Active license to practice in the state of Texas — required
- Knowledge of Removal Defense / Immigration Court proceedings
- Fluent English (oral and written) — required
- Intermediate to fluent Spanish — highly valued
- Proficiency in digital tools and legal software
- Strong client communication skills
