We are looking for a skilled Maintenance Technician to support our 2nd or 3rd shift operations at our Manitowoc, WI plastics manufacturing facility.
Core Duties

Ensure all tasks are completed in strict accordance with environmental, health, and safety regulations to help maintain a secure workplace for the entire team.

Utilize various test equipment, gauges, and indicators to perform accurate electrical and mechanical diagnostics.

Restore production equipment to working order by repairing, adjusting, or swapping out faulty parts.

Operate and set up hand tools and shop machinery, including welders, cutting torches, band saws, grinders, and drill presses.

Diagnose and fix pneumatic and hydraulic systems as required.

Safely operate aerial lifts and forklifts to facilitate necessary maintenance work.

Troubleshoot and program PLCs and VFDs to support production efficiency.

Manage steam systems and boiler operations by safely adjusting valves and related equipment.

Leverage computer systems to track work orders, manage inventory in the CMMS, and research technical manuals or parts.

Maintain a tidy and organized workspace to promote operational safety.
Qualifications

Completion of a high school diploma or its equivalent is mandatory.

A minimum of three years of professional experience in mechanical and electrical industrial maintenance is required.

Demonstrated ability to read and interpret blueprints and schematics for hydraulic, pneumatic, and electrical systems is essential for planning repairs.

Prior experience or knowledge regarding the programming and troubleshooting of VFDs is considered a plus.

Familiarity with PLC programming and troubleshooting is preferred.

Possession of a degree, certificate, or journeyman card is highly desirable.
