Job Summary
The
Industrial Mechanic is responsible for performing preventive and corrective maintenance on specialized machinery used in the manufacturing, surfacing, and finishing. This role ensures equipment reliability, production continuity, and product quality by diagnosing issues, performing repairs, calibrations, and maintaining compliance with technical standards.
Key Responsibilities
Equipment Maintenance & Repair
- Perform preventive, corrective, predictive, and emergency maintenance on laboratory machinery.
- Diagnose mechanical, electrical, pneumatic, and hydraulic failures to restore equipment functionality.
- Calibrate and adjust surfacing, polishing, coating, and finishing machines to ensure precision in the production.
- Apply cleaning and maintenance protocols to avoid contamination in the manufacturing process.
Technical Diagnostics & Calibration
- Interpret mechanical drawings, electrical diagrams, and technical manuals for troubleshooting and repairs.
- Use measurement tools such as calipers and precision instruments for calibration and testing.
- Conduct logical and systematic problem‑solving to identify root causes of equipment issues.
- Prepare, assemble, and configure equipment according to technical specifications or customer requirements.
Documentation & Compliance
- Document maintenance activities, repairs, downtime, parts usage, and calibration records in technical logs.
- Follow SOPs, safety protocols, and internal controls to maintain a compliant and safe working environment.
- Develop internal procedures for maintenance, calibration, diagnostics, and equipment repair.
Education & Qualifications
- Associate Degree in Industrial Mechanics or
- Equivalent technical preparation or
- Studies or certifications in Electromechanics.
- Experience: 2 or more years as Industrial Mechanic.
- Bilingual: Spanish & English (must understand technical manuals, SOPs, and maintenance documentation).
- Available for 7:00 am to 4:00 pm, and OT as required.
- Strong diagnostic and repair skills in mechanical, electrical, pneumatic, and hydraulic systems.
- Knowledge of precision mechanics, automation, and quality standards
