Job Summary
We are seeking an energetic and personable Host/Hostess for Saturdays and Sundays to create a welcoming atmosphere for our guests and ensure smooth seating and reservation management. In this role, you will be the first point of contact for diners, responsible for managing the waiting list, greeting guests, and coordinating seating arrangements to optimize the flow of service. Duties
- Greet guests warmly upon arrival and assist with seating arrangements to maximize guest satisfaction
- Manage restaurant wait list
- Coordinate with the service team to ensure timely seating and efficient table turnover
- Maintain organized waiting lists and communicate effectively with guests regarding their wait times
- Uphold food safety standards by adhering to proper guest handling procedures and hygiene practices
- Help clear tables and have them ready to set guests
Skills
- Proven experience as a host or hostess in a restaurant setting with strong customer service skills
- Familiarity with restaurant reservation management software and restaurant table management systems
- Excellent communication skills, including phone etiquette and active listening abilities
- Strong organizational skills to manage multiple tables, reservations, and guest requests efficiently
- Basic math skills for handling reservations, billing, and cash transactions if required
- Knowledge of food safety standards and hospitality best practices
- Ability to work well under pressure in a fast-paced environment while maintaining professionalism
