As a Detail / Body Shop Helper at Iron-Vac Trucks, you will assist with preparing, detailing, and supporting the body and paint department on custom septic and vacuum truck builds. This is a hands-on position involving sanding, masking, cleaning, detailing, paint prep, and assisting with final cosmetic work on medium- and heavy-duty truck builds.
This is an ideal position for someone who enjoys hands-on work, takes pride in clean equipment and quality workmanship, and wants to grow their skills in a manufacturing and body shop environment.
Key Responsibilities:
- Prepare truck bodies, tanks, and components for paint and finishing
- Sand, grind, mask, and prep surfaces
- Assist body and paint technicians with daily shop tasks
- Wash, clean, and detail trucks for delivery
- Help maintain paint booths, shop equipment, and work areas
- Assist with polishing, touch-ups, and cosmetic finishing work
- Move materials, tools, and components throughout the shop
- Follow safety procedures and shop standards at all times
- Work closely with fabricators, assemblers, and production leads to meet build schedules
Qualifications:
Required:
- Strong attention to detail and pride in workmanship
- Ability to perform physical, hands-on work throughout the day

- Willingness to learn and work in a fast-paced manufacturing environment
- Ability to safely use basic shop tools and equipment
Preferred:
- Experience with detailing, sanding, prep work, or painting
- Experience working in a body shop, manufacturing environment, or truck shop
- Basic mechanical knowledge or shop experience
- Experience with automotive, industrial, or heavy equipment detailing
