Center Director
We are seeking a dedicated and experienced Center Director to lead the daily operations, staff, programs, and family engagement efforts at our center. The ideal candidate is a compassionate, organized, and confident leader who can create a safe, welcoming, and high-quality environment for children, families, staff, and the community.
Key Responsibilities
- Oversee day-to-day center operations, including staffing, scheduling, enrollment, family communication, and facility readiness.
- Recruit, hire, train, supervise, and evaluate staff while promoting a positive and collaborative workplace culture.
- Ensure the center maintains compliance with all applicable licensing, health, safety, and regulatory requirements.
- Support development and implementation of high-quality programs, curriculum, and services that meet the needs of children and families.
- Manage budgets, supplies, records, reporting, and other administrative functions to support center sustainability.
- Build strong relationships with families, staff, community partners, and other stakeholders.
- Address concerns, conflicts, and operational challenges promptly, professionally, and with good judgment.
- Represent the center in a professional manner and help promote enrollment, community engagement, and organizational goals.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in early childhood education, education, human services, business administration, nonprofit management, or a related field preferred.
- Previous leadership experience in a center-based, education, childcare, nonprofit, or community services setting.
- Knowledge of applicable licensing, safety, compliance, and documentation requirements.
- Strong communication, organization, problem-solving, and staff supervision skills.
- Ability to manage multiple priorities while maintaining professionalism and attention to detail.
- CPR/First Aid certification, director credential, or other required state qualifications preferred or required, depending on program type.
- Compensation and Benefits
- Compensation range: $55-$60K. Benefits may include Health Insurance, PTO, Life, Holiday Pay, Retirement and other organization-specific benefits.
Schedule
Monday through Friday varied shifts.
