Travel RN - Med/Surg

Job Details

American Traveler is hiring a Med/Surg RN for a night shift travel assignment requiring 1+ years of experience and a TN or compact RN license.

Work in the Medical Surgical Combination unit of a 25-bed critical access hospital
Care for an adult and geriatric patient population with occasional pediatric patients
18-bed unit with a 1:5 patient ratio
Common diagnoses include COPD, pneumonia, hip fracture, AMS, falls, UTI, and abdominal pain
Uses Meditech EHR
Night shift schedule from 7:00 PM to 7:00 AM
Rotating weekend requirement
No call requirements
No floating requirements

Active RN license (TN or Compact) required
Current BLS and ACLS certifications required
Minimum 1 year of experience required
ADN or BSN required
Experience with IV insertion, foley catheters, pain management, and EMAR required
Meditech experience preferred
Must clear Tennessee Abuse Registry check prior to assignment start

Provide quality, compassionate patient care in a fast-paced Med/Surg environment
Work under the supervision of the Director of Med/Surg and Women's Services
Must be friendly, compassionate, and work well within a team
Scrubs of any color are acceptable, but casual wear is not permitted
Candidates must live 60 miles or greater from the facility to be considered for the travel rate
Candidates within 60 miles of the facility will be considered local
Cannot have worked as permanent staff at any LifePoint facility within the last 12 months
Cannot be employed elsewhere full time while on assignment
