Job Summary
We are seeking an enthusiastic and skilled Bartender to join our vibrant team at our sports bar and grill. The ideal candidates will have a strong commitment to providing exceptional customer service. As a Bartender, you will be responsible for serving drinks and food and ensuring that guests have a memorable experience in a fast-paced environment.
Responsibilities
- Prepare and serve alcoholic and non-alcoholic beverages according to established recipes and standards.
- Engage with customers to provide excellent service, taking drink and food orders and offering recommendations.
- Maintain cleanliness and organization of the bar area, including washing glassware and cleaning surfaces and stocking bar items.
- Operate the Point of Sale (POS) system efficiently for order processing and payment transactions.
- Monitor inventory levels of liquor, mixers, and other supplies; assist with restocking as needed.
- Ensure compliance with food safety regulations and responsible alcohol service policies.
- Handle cash and credit card transactions accurately while maintaining proper cash handling procedures.
- Collaborate with kitchen staff to ensure timely service of food orders when applicable.
- Address customer inquiries or concerns promptly and professionally to enhance guest satisfaction.
Qualifications
- Previous bartending experience in a bar setting is preferred.
- Strong customer service skills with the ability to create a welcoming atmosphere for guests.
- Knowledge of mixology techniques, drink recipes, and beverage trends is a plus.
- Familiarity with POS systems for efficient order processing is advantageous.
- Excellent math skills for handling transactions and managing tabs effectively.
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment while maintaining attention to detail.
- Strong communication skills and the ability to work well within a team-oriented atmosphere.
