Our Family Care Specialists are the front-line point of contact for families and referral partners Companion Funeral Home. This role manages daily front-office operations — coordinating arrangement scheduling and maintaining client case files — while ensuring every family who calls or walks through the door is met with warmth, discretion, and professionalism. The Family Care Specialist works closely with location manager and location funeral directors, our Care Center in Cleveland, TN , and outside agencies to keep casework moving accurately and on time.

Qualifications
- Bi-lingual or highly conversational in English and Spanish; translation experience desirable
- High school diploma or equivalent required; associate's degree or related coursework preferred.
- Prior experience in a funeral home, healthcare administration, legal office, or other detail-driven customer service role preferred.
- Comfort learning and using multiple software platforms
- Strong organizational skills and attention to detail, particularly when managing time-sensitive documentation and checklists.
- Excellent interpersonal and communication skills, with the ability to interact compassionately with grieving families and their loved ones.
- Ability to maintain confidentiality and exercise sound judgment when handling sensitive case information.
- Valid driver's license and reliable transportation for occasional local travel between offices and to health department locations.
- Ability to multitask and prioritize effectively in a fast-paced office environment.
Work Environment
This position is based in a funeral home office setting and involves regular interaction with grieving families, funeral directors, and outside agencies. Duties may include handling cremated remains and death-related documentation, which requires a high degree of sensitivity, professionalism, and discretion. Some local travel between the Dalton, GA and Cleveland, TN offices, may be required.
Pay: $35,000.00 - $45,000.00 per year
