Job Description and Requirements:
The CNC Operator receives work orders containing setup and material instructions from the CNC Engineering Manager that are used to operate the CNC machines safely and efficiently. The safe and efficient operation of CNC machines contribute to delivering the planned production profitability. The CNC Operator uses the work orders to setup the CNC machine controller, select and install the correct cutting tools, and load the correct material onto the CNC machine in the correct position. Other responsibilities may be assigned and additional training provided over time. This position reports to the CNC Engineering Manager.
Responsibilities specific to the CNC Operator:
Operate CNC machines according to the production schedule and assigned workload. Set up CNC machines with the correct cutting tools and materials. Load the correct material in the correct position during CNC operation.
Set the speed and operations of the CNC machine to optimize efficiency without causing excess stress and wear on the machine or materials.
Keep stock material neat, clean and organized for safe use and storage.

Execution of daily operational duties including: product organization, shop cleanliness and inventory cycle counts.

Inform Operations Director promptly of suspected inventory shortage.
Requirements and Qualifications:
Bachelor’s degree in Manufacturing Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Industrial Technology, or equivalent experience in CNC manufacturing – minimum 2 years.
Prior experience operating CNC machines preferred.
Motivated, results driven, organized, detail oriented, approachable, and customer-centric
Organized with the ability to multi-task
Work safely around moving trucks and moving machinery/equipment
Work environment is frequently loud.
Able to lift up to 50 lbs. repeatedly.
Ability to write, read, and communicate in English
