Assistant Superintendent / Field Construction Manager

We are partnering with a growing South Florida asphalt paving contractor that specializes in commercial paving projects.
They are looking to hire motivated individuals who want to grow into Superintendent-level leadership roles.
This is a permanent, direct-hire salaried opportunity.

About the Role
This position is 95% field-based and hands-on.
You will train under experienced Superintendents and gradually develop into managing paving crews, job schedules, and active project sites.
Projects move frequently, some last 2 days, others 2 weeks — so adaptability is key.
Training timeline is approximately 1–2 years to fully develop into a strong Superintendent.
You will initially:
- Shadow experienced leadership
- Attend pre-construction meetings
- Participate in punch-out meetings and walkthroughs
- Assist with daily reporting
- Learn crew coordination and project scheduling
- Communicate with customers and resolve on-site issues

Schedule & Travel
- On-site start time7:00am
- Typically finished by 5:00 PM
- Occasional Saturdays
- Occasional night or Sunday work depending on project access
- Travel primarily within Broward and Palm Beach counties
- Occasional travel to Miami or Port St. Lucie area
Compensation & Benefits
- Salary range: $55K–$75K+ (based on experience and skill level)
