Summary: Responsible for preparation of meals from the menu plan. Carries out the schedule for serving and maintains the sanitation of the kitchen.

Adheres to company policies and procedures.

Prepares menus as developed by the Consultant and Dietician

Adheres to all resident diet orders

Serves meals within the appropriate time frame

Skillfully prepares attractive meals.

Complies with all state sanitation requirements

Coordinates the serving and cleanup of all meals
-
Assures that the kitchen and dining room are maintained in a clean and attractive manner.

Maintains food service records according to state requirements
-
Assures the safe storage of food in compliance with state regulations and company policy
-
Reports to Kitchen manager any loss, breakage or waste of supplies or any other food service problems.

Assures that kitchen equipment is used in a safe manner and remains in good working order.

Assumes responsibilities of Kitchen Manager, when requested, in their absence.

Is self-directed and works with little or no supervision.

Performs other duties as assigned.
