Duties
- Perform landscape maintenance tasks including mowing, edging, pruning, planting, and fertilizing to keep outdoor spaces attractive and healthy
- Operate hand tools, power tools, and heavy equipment such as excavators safely and efficiently for various landscaping projects
- Maintain and repair irrigation systems, ensuring proper water distribution and system functionality
- Identify plants, trees, shrubs, and pests to support healthy growth and effective pest management strategies
- Conduct lawn care activities such as aeration, overseeding, and weed control to promote lush turf conditions
- Install and repair hardscape features like walkways, patios, retaining walls, and other landscape structures
Experience
- Prior experience in landscape maintenance or horticulture is preferred but not required; training will be provided for motivated learners
- Knowledge of plant identification, pesticide management, and irrigation systems is highly desirable
- Familiarity with landscaping techniques including tree care, pruning, trimming, and lawn care practices
- Ability to operate construction equipment such as excavators or similar machinery is a plus
- Experience with gardening projects or hardscape installation enhances your suitability for this role
- Strong mechanical knowledge related to landscaping tools and maintenance equipment is beneficial
- Construction experience or background in groundskeeping will support your success in this position
