Compensation: $205/hour + $50 transportation reimbursement per worked day
Schedule: Flexible 10- or 12-hour shifts | Monday–Friday
Opportunity Overview
We are seeking an experienced Certified Registered Nurse Anesthetist (CRNA) for a locum tenens assignment supporting a hospital-based anesthesia team in New York City. This opportunity offers schedule flexibility, consistent weekday coverage, and the ability to work within a collaborative Anesthesia Care Team model.
The ideal provider will have strong general anesthesia experience, excellent clinical judgment, and the ability to provide safe, efficient anesthesia care in a fast-paced procedural environment.
Position Details
- Hospital-based practice setting
- Assignment begins 10/01/26
- 13-week assignment with potential for extension
- Epic EMR
- Monday–Friday scheduling
- Flexible scheduling options:
- 3x12-hour shifts per week
- 4x10-hour shifts per week
- Shift options include:
- 7:00 AM – 7:30 PM
- 7:00 AM – 5:30 PM
- 30-minute meal break deduction per shift
- Minimum commitment of 6–7 shifts per month
- Must be available to work either Monday or Friday each week
- Must be flexible to provide coverage at affiliated hospital locations within the same health system
- No call requirements
Case Mix
Providers will support a variety of general anesthesia cases, including:
- Endoscopy procedures
- Out-of-operating-room anesthesia (OR) locations
- General cases
Cases do not include:
- Cardiac
- Thoracic/lung
- Liver
- OB
Spinal/epidural procedures may be performed; anesthesia support is available for providers who do not routinely perform these procedures.
Responsibilities
- Provide safe and effective anesthesia care for assigned patients.
- Complete pre-anesthesia assessments and develop appropriate anesthesia plans.
- Administer anesthesia for diagnostic and procedural cases.
- Monitor patients throughout procedures and respond appropriately to changes in condition.
- Collaborate with physicians and the anesthesia care team to ensure quality patient outcomes.
- Maintain accurate documentation using Epic EMR.
- Follow clinical, safety, and compliance standards.
Required Qualifications
- Active New York CRNA license
- Board Certified CRNA
- Active DEA
- Minimum 2 years of CRNA experience
- Clean professional background required
- Flu and COVID vaccination required
- Current CV required in company format with month/year dates and explanations for any employment gaps
