Now Hiring Cashier/Barista for morning and afternoon shifts. You will be the friendly face that greets customers and creates a welcoming atmosphere. Duties
- Greet customers warmly and provide attentive service throughout their visit
- Process sales accurately using Aloha POS systems, including cash handling and credit transactions
- Prepare a variety of non-alcoholic beverages with precision and care, ensuring quality and presentation standards are met
- Maintain cleanliness of the café area, including food prep stations, seating areas, and equipment in accordance with food safety guidelines
- Manage food handling responsibilities, including food preparation and serving items efficiently
- Assist customers with product selection, answer questions about menu items, and promote ongoing sales opportunities
- Ensure all food safety protocols are followed during beverage and food preparation, adhering to health regulations
- Keep track of inventory levels for beverages and supplies, notifying management when stock needs replenishing
- Support team members during busy periods by multitasking between cashiering, serving, and cleaning duties
Qualifications
- Previous experience in food service or café environments is preferred; barista experience is highly valued
- Familiarity with POS systems such as Aloha POS for processing transactions efficiently
- Strong customer service skills with the ability to engage positively with diverse clientele
- Basic math skills necessary for cash handling and transaction accuracy
- Knowledge of food safety standards and proper food handling procedures
- Ability to prepare beverages confidently while maintaining quality standards
- Excellent time management skills to handle multiple tasks smoothly during peak hours
- Experience in retail sales transactions and cashiering roles is desirable
- Demonstrated ability to work well within a team in a fast-paced environment
