Job Summary
We are seeking a passionate and dedicated Registered Behavior Technician (RBT) to join our dynamic team in providing high-quality behavioral support to children and individuals with developmental disabilities, including autism spectrum disorder. As an RBT, you will implement individualized behavior intervention plans, assist with daily living skills, and support clients in achieving meaningful progress. Duties
- Implement evidence-based behavioral interventions based on Applied Behavior Analysis (ABA) principles to promote skill development and reduce challenging behaviors.
- Assist clients with Activities of Daily Living (ADLs), such as grooming, dressing, feeding, and toileting, fostering independence.
- Collect accurate data on client behaviors, progress towards goals, and treatment outcomes to inform ongoing care plans.
- Support the development and execution of individualized care plans tailored to each client's unique needs and abilities.
- Collaborate with supervisors, therapists, families, and caregivers to ensure consistency in behavioral strategies across settings.
- Maintain detailed medical documentation, including progress notes, behavior logs, and compliance with HIPAA regulations for confidentiality.
- Use medical terminology appropriately when documenting client interactions and updating medical records related to behavioral health and special education services.
Qualifications
- GED or HS Diploma
- Valid certification as a Registered Behavior Technician (RBT) from the Behavior Analyst Certification Board (BACB).
- Training for RBT certification is available with a 1-year commitment
- Experience working with children or individuals with developmental disabilities, especially autism spectrum disorder.
- Strong understanding of behavioral therapy techniques, applied behavior analysis.
- Strong communication and teamwork skills
