American Traveler is hiring an experienced RN for a Med/Surg Telemetry position on a cardiac specialty unit, requiring night shift availability and cardiac medication familiarity.

Work in a 30-bed cardiac specialty unit (MS/Tele) in a hospital setting
-
Night shift schedule: 3x12-hour shifts, 18:45–07:15
-
Patient ratio of 1:5, with the expectation of managing up to 6 patients
-
Cardiac patient population requiring familiarity with diuretics, anticoagulants, inotropes, and rate-controlling medications
-
Weekend requirement based on unit needs

Floating required within scope of practice
-
No on-call requirements
-
Block scheduling considered on a case-by-case basis

Epic EMR used; experience preferred but not required
-
Active RN license (Standard or Compact) required
-
Current certifications required: BLS, ACLS, and NIH Stroke Scale (NIHSS)

Minimum 1–2 years of RN experience required

Med/Surg Telemetry or cardiac nursing experience strongly preferred

Epic EMR experience preferred

First-time travelers are welcome to apply

Candidates must reside more than 50 miles from the facility to be eligible for this position

Former permanent staff must have been separated from the facility for at least 1 year before being eligible to return as a travel nurse

Travel pairs or groups will not be considered

Navy scrubs required

Up to 3 days of RTO may be approved; no RTO will be approved during the first week of orientation

Two professional references from a supervisor within the past 2 years are required for consideration
