To maintain the cleanliness of guest rooms and ensure compliance with all standards of operation, quality, productivity, and excellence; maintains cleanliness and appearance of public areas as directed by the Executive Housekeeper or Assistant Executive Housekeeper; perform all duties assigned; report for work in issued uniform and present yourself in a professional manner both in dress and action.
Essential Duties:
- Perform job duties safely and in accordance with all OSHA regulations.
- Responsible for the use and security of hotel master key issued. All housekeepers are required to sign for the master key issued when they receive it and when it is turned in at the end of the day.
- Clean guest rooms in accordance with franchise and company standards as directed by supervisors.
- Knowledge of all requirements and standards for in room amenities (coffee, linen, pillows, extra blankets, signage, etc…).
- Communicates with the Executive Housekeeper or Assistant Executive
Housekeeper throughout the day to provide progress updates and to notify them of any guest requests that could not be handled immediately. Also notifies Executive Housekeeper or Assistant Executive Housekeeper of any requests for “no service”, Do-Not-Disturbs, requests for extra amenities, or anything unusual in nature.
- Reports any maintenance issues or concerns to the maintenance department using the proper procedures and forms.
- Ensure that housekeeping cart is in proper working order and that cart is cleaned and stocked.
- Report any missing items or damage to rooms immediately to the supervisor on duty.
- Appropriate control of lost and found items.
- Any other responsibilities delegated or assigned by the hotel management as they deem appropriate or necessary.
