We are seeking a compassionate and dedicated Registered Behavior Technician (RBT) to join our team. In this role, you will work closely with individuals with developmental disabilities and autism, providing essential support in their daily activities and therapeutic interventions. Your contributions will help improve their quality of life and promote positive behavioral changes through structured programs and individualized care plans.
Duties
- Implement behavior intervention plans as designed by Board Certified Behavior Analysts (BCBAs).
- Collect and record data on client progress, ensuring accuracy and adherence to established protocols.
- Assist clients with Activities of Daily Living (ADLs) to promote independence and self-care skills.
- Maintain compliance with HIPAA regulations while handling medical documentation and records.
- Collaborate with families, caregivers, and other professionals to develop effective care plans tailored to each individual’s needs.
- Provide patient care in a respectful and dignified manner, fostering a supportive environment for clients.
- Utilize medical terminology appropriately when documenting client interactions and progress.
- Engage in ongoing training and professional development to enhance skills related to working with individuals with autism and other developmental disabilities.
Qualifications
- Certification as a Registered Behavior Technician (RBT) is required.
- Experience working with individuals with developmental disabilities or autism is preferred.
- Familiarity with medical documentation practices, including understanding of HIPAA guidelines.
- Strong knowledge of medical records management and data collection techniques.
- Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written, to effectively interact with clients, families, and team members.
- Ability to demonstrate empathy, patience, and professionalism in all interactions.
- A commitment to continuous learning and applying best practices in patient care.
