Duties
- Thoroughly wash dishes, glassware, utensils, pots, pans, and kitchen equipment using manual or machine methods while adhering to food safety sanitizing procedures.
- Assist with basic food preparation tasks as needed, including ingredient handling and setup.
- Support bussing duties by clearing tables and ensuring dining areas are clean and organized.
- Operate dishwashing machines and other kitchen equipment safely and efficiently.
- Follow all sanitation protocols to maintain kitchen health and safety standards.
- Handle heavy lifting of large pots, crates, or supplies with proper manual handling techniques to prevent injury.
- Maintain cleanliness of the dishwashing area, including sinks, counters, and storage spaces.
Experience
- Prior experience in food service or restaurant environments is preferred but not required; we value enthusiasm and a willingness to learn!
- Knowledge of food safety management practices and sanitation procedures is advantageous.
- Familiarity with operating kitchen equipment such as commercial dishwashers is a plus.
- Basic knife skills or experience with food handling can be beneficial for supporting food prep tasks.
- Ability to perform heavy lifting safely and work efficiently in a fast-paced environment.
- Previous experience in kitchen health and safety standards helps ensure compliance with all regulations.
