A Japanese company is seeking an Account Manager to join its Supply Chain Management Department in Livonia, Michigan. This is a hybrid position requiring three days per week in the office.
The company is seeking candidates with account management and quality-related experience in the automotive industry. Experience in program management, sales, or supply chain management is preferred.
Position Summary
This position is responsible for managing customer QCD-related matters, including pricing, product change notifications, customer production demand, quality-related topics, and company sales plans and budgets. The Account Manager will serve as the primary customer contact and coordinate with internal teams and vendors to provide timely support and share customer information.
Key Responsibilities
- Obtain and maintain customer program life cycle information by customer part number
- Summarize customer program data and create sales and budget plans
- Monitor customer demand based on program status, automotive market conditions, and OEM trends
- Collect accurate customer and market information and prepare monthly reports
- Manage QFN, PCR, DCR, and EOL processes
- Coordinate with vendors, internal stakeholders, and customers regarding quality issues, root cause analysis, and corrective actions
- Manage post-PCR part deliveries and provide instructions to inside sales
- Prepare and submit customer quotations
- Respond to customer surveys and other support requests
- Serve as the primary contact for customers
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree preferred
- Three to four years of related experience and/or training, or an equivalent combination of education and experience
- Experience in sales, account management, or supply chain management in the automotive industry preferred
- Valid driver’s license
- Ability to travel occasionally by car or plane
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office, including Word and Excel
- Strong verbal and written communication skills
- Ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously
