Island Toyota is seeking an ambitious, customer-focused Service Advisor fluent in Mandarin Chinese and/or Cantonese to join our busy and fast-growing service department.
We are looking for someone who is professional, organized, and passionate about delivering an excellent customer experience while helping build strong relationships within the Chinese-speaking community.
Position Overview
The Service Advisor will be responsible for assisting customers throughout the vehicle service process, from check-in to completion, while clearly communicating service needs, repair recommendations, pricing, timelines, and follow-up.
This role is ideal for someone who thrives in a fast-paced dealership environment, enjoys helping customers, and can communicate clearly in both Chinese and English.
Key Responsibilities
- Greet and assist service customers in Mandarin/Cantonese and English
- Listen to customer concerns and accurately document vehicle issues
- Create repair orders and communicate service needs to technicians
- Explain recommended maintenance, repairs, pricing, and timelines to customers
- Provide updates to customers throughout the service process
- Review completed work and invoices with customers
- Recommend factory maintenance, service specials, and additional needed repairs
- Coordinate with technicians, parts department, service managers, and cashiers
- Follow up with customers after service visits to ensure satisfaction
- Help maintain strong long-term customer relationships
- Use dealership systems/CRM to track appointments, repair orders, and customer communication
- Maintain a professional, helpful, and customer-first attitude at all times
Qualifications & Skills
- High school diploma or equivalent
- Fluency in Mandarin Chinese and/or Cantonese preferred
- English communication skills required
- Prior automotive service advisor experience preferred but not required
- Automotive dealership or customer service experience is a plus
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills
- Professional appearance and positive attitude
- Ability to multi-task in a fast-paced environment
- Strong organizational skills and attention to detail
- Comfortable discussing pricing, repairs, and service recommendations with customers
- Reynolds, CDK, Xtime, Dealertrack, or other dealership software experience is a plus
- Strong work ethic, reliability, and integrity
