Position Summary
An elementary teacher provides engaging, developmentally appropriate instruction that promotes academic growth, social-emotional development, and a positive learning environment for all students. (Current opening is in 2nd grade.)
Key Responsibilities

Plan and deliver standards-based instruction aligned with state academic standards across core subject areas.

Create engaging lessons that promote critical thinking, problem-solving, collaboration, and student achievement.

Differentiate instruction to meet the diverse academic, social, emotional, and behavioral needs of all learners.

Utilize a variety of instructional strategies, technology, and educational resources to support student learning.

Assess student learning using formative and summative assessments and use data to guide instructional decisions.

Provide timely, meaningful feedback to students and communicate progress regularly with families.

Establish and maintain a safe, positive, and inclusive classroom environment that promotes respect, responsibility, and student engagement.

Implement effective classroom management practices that support positive student behavior and maximize instructional time.

Collaborate with grade-level teams, special education staff, interventionists, and other school personnel to support student success.

Participate in professional learning communities, staff meetings, and ongoing professional development.

Maintain accurate student records, lesson plans, and required documentation.

Communicate effectively with students, families, colleagues, and administrators.

Support school-wide initiatives, events, and extracurricular activities as assigned.
Qualifications

Bachelor's degree in Elementary Education.

Valid state teaching license with appropriate Elementary Education certification.

Knowledge of child development, effective instructional practices, and elementary curriculum.

Strong classroom management, communication, organizational, and interpersonal skills.

Ability to build positive relationships with students, families, colleagues, and the school community.
Preferred Qualifications

Experience implementing standards-based instruction and assessment.

Knowledge of Multi-Tiered Systems of Support (MTSS), differentiated instruction, and inclusive classroom practices.

Experience integrating instructional technology to enhance student learning.

Experience collaborating within Professional Learning Communities (PLCs).
Work Environment

School-based classroom setting with daily instruction for elementary students.

Participation in school events, parent conferences, professional development, and occasional evening activities as needed.
