Responsibilities
- Assist veterinarians during examinations, surgeries, and diagnostic procedures with animal restraint and handling.
- Perform laboratory tests, prepare samples, and operate equipment such as X-ray machines to support accurate diagnoses.
- Administer treatments including medication administration, wound care, and animal catheterization with aseptic technique.
- Provide pet care services such as grooming, feeding, and monitoring vital signs to ensure animal comfort and safety.
- Maintain detailed medical records, update patient charts, and document procedures accurately in compliance with clinic protocols.
- Support animal husbandry activities including feeding, cleaning enclosures, and ensuring proper animal physiology management.
- Handle a variety of animals confidently using dog handling skills and animal restraint techniques while ensuring safety for both pets and staff.
Requirements
- Must be comfortable around cats and dogs.
- Must be able to multitask.
- Must be able to life a minimum of 50 lbs.
- Must have flexible scheduling including but not limited to weekends and holidays.
- Pay will depend on experience.
- Experience preferred, but all applicants will be considered.
Job Types: Full-time, Part-time
Pay: $12.00 - $13.00 per hour
