Responsibilities
- Perform a variety of nail services such as manicures, pedicures, gel manicures, acrylic nail applications, and nail extensions with precision and care.
- Apply color theory principles to recommend shades that complement clients’ skin tones and preferences.
- Maintain salon safety protocols by adhering to sanitation standards, disinfection procedures, and proper disinfection of tools and workstations.
- Communicate effectively with clients to understand their needs, offer advice on nail care, and upsell retail products that enhance their beauty routines.
- Ensure a clean and sanitized workspace throughout the day by following all health regulations related to sanitation and disinfection.
- Manage retail sales efficiently by applying retail math skills to promote products that meet client needs while supporting salon goals.
- Build strong relationships with clients through excellent customer service and personalized attention that encourages repeat visits.
Experience
- Proven experience working as a Nail Technician or in the beauty industry with a focus on nails.
- Knowledge of nail care techniques including acrylic application, gel manicures, nail extensions, and cuticle care.
- Familiarity with salon safety protocols, sanitation standards, disinfection procedures, and overall hygiene practices.
- Strong communication skills for client consultation and team collaboration.
- Certification in cosmetology or esthetician licensing required; additional training in hair styling or barbering is advantageous but not mandatory.
- Ability to perform detailed work efficiently while maintaining a lively and positive attitude.
