Overview
Join the KA construction & Restoration team as a Construction Laborer. This role offers the opportunity to work on projects from residential renovations to new construction. As a Construction Laborer, you'll be at the forefront of construction activities, ensuring safety and efficiency on-site. This is a paid position perfect for motivated individuals eager to develop their skills in a fast-paced environment while contributing to high-quality construction projects.

We want to promote within, so if you start here as a construction laborer and want to grow with us, you can work up to foreman to site manager. Depends on what you want.
Responsibilities
- Assist with the setup and cleanup of construction sites, ensuring a safe and organized work environment
- Operate hand tools, power tools, and heavy equipment safely and effectively to support various construction tasks
- Prepare and handle materials such as concrete, rebar, formwork, and scaffolding in accordance with project specifications
- Perform concrete-related activities such as pouring, finishing, cutting, and pumping to achieve smooth surfaces and structural integrity
- Support carpentry tasks including framing and trim carpentry
- Read and interpret blueprints, schematics, and technical drawings to understand project requirements and specifications
- Follow all safety protocols related to construction workplace safety regulations, heavy lifting, scaffolding, and equipment operation
- Drive to and from job sites
- Assist the supervisor as needed with tasks to get the job completed
Requirements
- Prior experience working on construction projects or in a related trade environment -is required; training will be provided for motivated learners - if you have less on-site experience, but are motivated and interested in this field to learn more, still apply.
- Mechanical knowledge and familiarity with construction estimating are advantageous for understanding project scope and materials management - preferred but not required
- Ability to interpret blueprint specifications accurately and follow detailed instructions for formwork construction, rebar installation, masonry work, and framing - not required but must be willing to learn
- Proficiency with hand tools, power tools, concrete mixers, concrete cutting tools, and other construction equipment - is required
- Knowledge of construction safety regulations and commitment to maintaining a safe work environment at all times
- Physical ability to perform heavy lifting, climb scaffolding or ladders, and stand or walk for extended periods during shifts -is required
- Strong teamwork skills with excellent communication abilities to coordinate effectively with crew members and supervisors -is required
- Must have a reliable vehicle to travel to different work locations (if you do not have a vehicle and you live within the radius of the office location, a ride may be offered)
- Must have construction tools (if you do not have tools, we will provide them to you but they are the property of the company and can not be taken home)

Pay: $24.00 - $32.00 per hour
