Expanding practice is seeking a dedicated and compassionate Contracted Social Work Therapist to join our team in providing high-quality mental health care. This role offers an exciting opportunity to work from home or in an office. This can be a good supplement to a full time position. New social workers welcome. Quality social work supervision can be negotiated into the contract.
As a Contracted Social Work Therapist, you will deliver evidence-based interventions, conduct comprehensive assessments, and develop personalized treatment plans to support individuals across the lifespan. Your expertise will help foster resilience, improve mental health outcomes, and promote overall well-being for clients with a wide range of needs, including developmental disabilities, trauma, substance use disorders, and chronic health conditions. This paid position emphasizes professional growth and meaningful client impact.
Responsibilities
- Conduct thorough mental health assessments and diagnostic evaluations utilizing clinical documentation standards and medical terminology.
- Deliver individual, group, and/or family therapy sessions employing evidence-based practices such as EMDR, cognitive behavioral therapy (CBT), psychodynamic therapy, and crisis intervention techniques.
- Develop tailored treatment plans aligned with client goals, clinical confidentiality policies, and HIPAA regulations.
- Provide specialized mental health interventions for individuals from a trauma informed lens.
- Maintain accurate medical records using EHR systems while adhering to clinical documentation standards and ICD coding requirements (ICD-10/ICD-9).
- Participate in crisis management situations with professionalism and sensitivity while working with individuals from diverse cultural backgrounds.
Qualifications
- Bachelor's or Master’s degree in social work, licensure or certification as a Licensed Social Worker (LSW) or Licensed Independent Social Worker (LISW).
- Proven experience working with children, adolescents, adults or geriatrics in mental health counseling or behavioral health settings.
- Strong knowledge of psychotherapeutic modalities including cognitive behavioral therapy (CBT), psychodynamic therapy, and motivational interviewing.
- Familiarity with medical terminology, clinical documentation standards, CPT coding procedures, ICD coding (ICD-10/ICD-9), and HIPAA compliance requirements.
- Ability to perform mental health assessments accurately and deliver crisis intervention when necessary.
- Excellent communication skills for client engagement and interdisciplinary collaboration
- Demonstrated ability to work effectively with diverse populations across cultural backgrounds while maintaining confidentiality.
