American Traveler is seeking an experienced RN for a Med/Surg Tele (Neuro/Ortho) night shift position at an acute care hospital, requiring 2+ years of experience and an active MO or Compact RN license.

Acute care hospital setting with 233 staffed beds

Neuro/Ortho unit focused on Med/Surg Tele patients

Night shift schedule: 3x12-hour shifts (19:00–07:30)

Patient ratio of 1:6
-
Floating is required to other units within scope; travelers will not be pulled to the ICU, SDU, or ED
-
2 shifts required every other weekend; for nights, shifts may fall on Friday/Saturday or Saturday/Sunday depending on existing rotation
-
No on-call responsibilities

EMR: Epic (experience required)

Block scheduling is not available

13-week contract
-
Active MO RN license or Compact RN license required at time of consideration; IL candidates may submit with a pending IL license

Current certifications required: BLS and NIH Stroke Scale (NIHSS)

Minimum 1–2 years of RN experience required; 2+ years preferred

Epic EMR experience required

Candidates must reside more than 75 miles from the facility to be eligible

RTO is limited to no more than 7 days per 13-week contract; no RTO is permitted during the first week of orientation

Former permanent employees of BJC facilities must wait 1 year before returning as a traveler

Travelers may work at BJC facilities for up to 18 months, after which a 3-month break in service is required

Local candidates (within 75 miles of the facility) are not accepted
