Position Summary
The Territory Sales Representative is responsible for developing new business and growing existing customer relationships within an assigned territory throughout the Denver metropolitan area. This role combines outside sales, account management, and business development to help contractors and industrial customers find the equipment solutions they need.
Successful candidates enjoy working independently, building relationships, solving problems, and thriving in a fast-paced environment.
Responsibilities
- Develop and grow new business opportunities within the assigned territory.
- Prospect construction, industrial, commercial, and contractor accounts.
- Conduct regular jobsite visits and customer meetings.
- Build and maintain strong relationships with existing customers.
- Understand customer projects and recommend appropriate equipment solutions.
- Prepare rental quotes and follow up on opportunities.
- Coordinate with dispatch, operations, and service teams to ensure excellent customer experiences.
- Track sales activities, opportunities, and customer interactions within the CRM.
- Respond quickly to customer requests and urgent needs.
- Monitor market conditions, competitors, and industry trends.
- Represent Impact Equipment Rentals at industry events, networking opportunities, and job sites.
- Achieve monthly, quarterly, and annual sales goals.
Qualifications
- 2+ years of outside sales, territory sales, or account management experience preferred.
- Experience in equipment rental, construction, industrial sales, or related industries strongly preferred.
- Proven ability to develop new business and manage customer relationships.
- Strong communication, negotiation, and presentation skills.
- Ability to work independently while collaborating with internal teams.
- Comfortable using CRM systems, Microsoft Office, and mobile technology.
- Knowledge of construction equipment and jobsite applications is preferred.
- Valid driver’s license with an acceptable driving record.
- High school diploma or equivalent required; additional education or sales training is a plus.
- Ability to travel daily throughout the Denver metropolitan area.
