1. High School Diploma or GED and two years of related experience.
2. Must possess a valid driver’s license. Must obtain a valid Commercial Driver’s License – Class A within 120 days of hire date.
3. Effectively communicate with others orally and in writing.
4. If assigned to Right of Way, must possess or be able to obtain an Herbicide Application License within one year of hire.
5. Must be proficient in setting and shooting grades using a transit or laser level.
6. Must be capable and knowledgeable in operating heavy and light equipment, hand tools and all trade related equipment.
7. Must be proficient in or have the ability to become proficient in the use of a computer as it relates to software programs such as timekeeping or work order processing. 8. Must be able to effectively operate standard office equipment.
9. While performing the functions of this job, the employee is regularly required to talk and hear for safety reasons or to operate specific equipment. The employee regularly is required to stand, walk, and sit; use hands to finger, handle, or feel; reach with hands and arms; climb or balance; kneel, crouch, or crawl. The employee must regularly lift and/or move up to 50 pounds. The employee must occasionally lift and/or move up to 100 pounds.
10. While performing the functions of this job, the employee is occasionally exposed to moving mechanical parts; high precarious places, fumes, or airborne particles; outside weather conditions and risk of vibration.
