If you are a highly skilled tradesperson who loves working with your hands but is tired of the unpaid hassles of running a business—like chasing leads, writing estimates, and tracking down payments—this role is designed for you. As a Senior Craftsman, you will focus on what you do best: solving problems and delivering high-quality home repairs and improvements. You will have the backing of a supportive office team that handles all the scheduling, customer communication, and billing, allowing you to focus entirely on your craft with the stability of regular, year-round W-2 employment.
In this role, you will work independently or in a small team on a variety of small-to-medium residential and light commercial projects throughout the Ann Arbor area. Your success will be measured by the quality of your work, your efficiency, and the trust you build with our customers.
Reviewing your daily schedule of pre-booked jobs via our mobile app.
Traveling to homes and businesses to complete tasks such as carpentry, drywall repair, door installations, tiling, and minor plumbing or electrical fixes.
Evaluating project needs on-site, discussing solutions with homeowners, and adapting to unexpected structural challenges.
Maintaining a clean, safe, and organized workspace, ensuring you leave every job site in better condition than you found it.
Documenting completed work and processing payments through our simple digital system.
Becoming a trusted, go-to professional for repeat clients who specifically request your services.
Maintaining high customer satisfaction scores and positive online reviews.
Working efficiently within estimated timeframes while never compromising on safety or quality.
We are looking for a seasoned, versatile professional who takes pride in their work and enjoys helping people.
At least 10 years of hands-on experience in home maintenance, remodeling, or residential construction trades.
Proficiency in multiple trades, with strong skills in carpentry, drywall repair, painting, door/window installation, and basic plumbing and electrical.
A reliable, work-appropriate truck, van, or SUV capable of carrying tools and materials.
Your own comprehensive set of hand and power tools to complete general home repairs.
A valid driver's license, an active auto insurance policy, and a clean driving record.
The ability to pass a comprehensive background check.
Strong communication skills and a professional, respectful demeanor when interacting with customers in their homes.
Prior experience estimating job costs and material requirements.
Specialized skills or licensing in a specific trade, such as finish carpentry, tiling, or kitchen/bath remodeling.
We believe in treating our team members like the professionals they are. We provide a structured, supportive environment that respects your time and your expertise.
Consistent W-2 Income: Stable, year-round work with regular pay, avoiding the seasonal fluctuations of independent contracting.
Full Benefits: Comprehensive medical, dental, and vision insurance, a 401(k) plan, and paid time off, all available after 90 days of employment.
Better Work-Life Balance: A typical Monday through Friday schedule with no evening or weekend shifts, so you can spend quality time outside of work.
Supportive Operations: A dedicated office team that books your jobs, manages customer expectations, and handles administrative tasks.
Professional Equipment: We provide company uniforms, access to specialized tools, and a mobile app to manage your schedule easily.
If you are ready to focus on your craft, enjoy stable work, and be part of a team that values your skills, we would love to hear from you. Please submit your application and a brief summary of your trade experience to get started.
