We're Hiring: Technical Sales Engineer – Texas (DFW Area)
fischer Fixings USA is expanding rapidly in the U.S., and we're looking for a Technical Sales Engineer to drive growth across the façade, building envelope, and structural anchoring markets in Texas.
This role is ideal for a technically strong and commercially minded professional with experience in the construction industry, particularly in ventilated façades, façade support systems, and anchoring solutions.
You will work closely with engineers, architects, façade consultants, general contractors, and specialty contractors to influence design decisions and support projects from specification through installation.
What You'll Do
- Serve as a trusted technical advisor to architects, engineers, façade consultants, contractors, and developers.
- Promote and support façade and anchoring solutions from early design stages through project execution.
- Prepare technical calculations, system recommendations, submittals, specifications, and bid support.
- Develop relationships with key stakeholders across the façade and construction ecosystem.
- Identify and manage project opportunities to drive specification sales and territory growth.
- Deliver technical presentations, product training sessions, and CEUs.
- Provide jobsite support, including pull testing, troubleshooting, and installation guidance.
- Represent fischer at industry events and strengthen our presence within the façade and construction markets.
What We're Looking for
- Bachelor's degree in Engineering preferred.
- 3+ years of experience in technical sales, engineering, façade systems, construction products, or related fields.
- Strong experience with ventilated façades (rainscreen systems), façade support systems, building envelope solutions, and/or structural anchoring applications.
- Solid understanding of anchoring design and the performance of mechanical and chemical anchors.
- Strong knowledge of the commercial construction market and building practices.
- Familiarity with IBC 2018 and relevant façade and structural design requirements.
- Ability to read and interpret architectural drawings, engineering documents, and project specifications.
- Proficiency with AutoCAD and Microsoft Office; SAP experience is a plus.
- Excellent communication and relationship-building skills with architects, engineers, façade consultants, contractors, and distributors.
- Self-driven, entrepreneurial mindset with strong problem-solving and project management capabilities.
