The Production Planner at Montague Supports day-to-day production planning and scheduling activities under established planning rules and priorities. Hands-on, execution-focused role responsible for production order creation, paperwork generation, and data accuracy
Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
· Create, update, and maintain production orders in the ERP system.
· Create production orders for released sales orders in the ERP system based on established planning rules and priorities.
· Close completed production orders for finished units and parts in the ERP system in accordance with established procedures.
· Generate, review, and print standard production paperwork (travelers, drawings, and work orders) to support shop floor execution.
· Assist with maintaining production schedules under guidance and established priorities.
· Monitor material availability and identify potential shortages or issues for escalation.
· Track production order status and update dates, quantities, and order statuses as needed.
· Coordinate with Production, Purchasing, Stores and Engineering to support on-time execution.
· Ensure production paperwork is accurate, complete, and released on time to the shop floor.
· Support inventory accuracy through proper production order setup and maintenance.
· Assist with implementing engineering changes, drawing revisions, and updates as directed.
· Use Excel and Power BI to support basic reporting, tracking, and operational visibility.
· Maintain accurate planning data, reports, and documentation.
Follow established planning SOPs, data control processes, and ERP best practices.
Education and/or Work Experience Requirements:
· Strong analytical skills with the ability to work with data and identify trends or issues.
· Attention to detail
· Excellent communication abilities
· Proficiency in relevant software tools
· Proficiency in Microsoft Excel (filters, formulas, basic data analysis).
Preferred Experience:
· Familiarity with lean manufacturing and processes
· Experience with ERP systems, specifically Microsoft Business Central, F&O, and Dynamics 365
Expert in Excel and Power BI reporting
Pay: $35.00 - $40.00 per hour
