Controller – Chemical Manufacturing
Location: Suwanee/Duluth, GA Area
Base Salary: $150-$160k (DOE)
Schedule: Onsite Daily / Monday – Friday
Summary:
The Controller oversees all accounting operations, including financial reporting, budgeting, and compliance. This role ensures accurate financial data to support strategic decision-making and drives process improvements across the organization.
What you get to do:
- Lead the accounting team, managing AP/AR, payroll, general ledger, and financial reporting.
- Prepare monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements, budgets, and forecasts.
- Track and analyze key financial metrics, sales performance, and cost trends.
- Conduct account reconciliations, oversee inventory audits, and manage tax reporting.
- Maintain internal controls and audit readiness.
- Support product costing, labor analysis, and financial modeling.
- Provide insights and reports to leadership, including variance and trend analysis.
- Supervise and develop a team of 2–3 accounting staff.
What you need to succeed:
- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or Finance; MBA a plus.
- CPA required.
- Minimum 5 years of experience in an accounting leadership role.
- Strong analytical, problem-solving, and financial acumen.
- Experience with budgeting, forecasting, and cost management.
- Proven ability to lead teams and manage cross-functional projects.
- Attention to detail, with a focus on continuous improvement and operational efficiency.
