As an Aircraft Records Clerk, you'll ensure the accuracy, integrity, and compliance of vital aircraft maintenance records that support safe operations, regulatory adherence, and maintenance planning. Accurate records are essential to aircraft safety, maintenance compliance, and operational readiness. In this role, you'll serve as a trusted expert responsible for maintaining critical aircraft documentation, managing maintenance records, and ensuring compliance with aviation regulations and organizational standards.
Your work will help maintain the integrity of aircraft maintenance histories and support the teams responsible for keeping aircraft mission-ready.
Maintain and optimize aircraft records management systems.
Track and manage aircraft maintenance documentation, including:- Log pages
- Inventory records
- Technical documentation
- Maintenance reports
- Compliance records
Convert and organize paper records into electronic record systems.
Ensure records comply with regulatory requirements and company standards.
Monitor and maintain documentation related to:- Airworthiness Directives (ADs)
- Time Compliance Technical Orders (TCTOs)
- Service Bulletins
- Maintenance actions and inspections
Resolve complex documentation discrepancies and compliance issues.
- Lead initiatives to improve records management processes and documentation workflows.
- Provide expert guidance on records management best practices.
- Assist in training and developing records management personnel.
- Support cross-functional teams with documentation and compliance requirements.
- Serve as a backup resource for records leadership functions when needed.
High School Diploma or GED.
**5+ years of relevant experience **in aircraft records, aviation maintenance documentation, or related fields.
Proven expertise in aircraft maintenance documentation and regulatory compliance requirements.
Advanced proficiency with:- Microsoft Excel
- Microsoft Word
- Other Microsoft Office applications
Experience scanning and converting paper records into electronic records management systems.
Advanced experience with computer systems and aircraft maintenance tracking software.
Knowledge of:- Airworthiness Directives (ADs)
- Time Compliance Items
- Service Bulletins
- Aircraft maintenance record requirements
Ability to read, write, and communicate effectively in English.
Ability to travel, including extended assignments outside the continental U.S.
- Ability to lift up to 20 pounds regularly.
- Ability to stand and work on your feet for extended periods.
- Strong hand and finger dexterity for computer-based work.
- Ability to work primarily in a computer-based office environment.
- Bachelor's Degree in Aviation, Engineering, or a related field.
- Extensive experience in the aerospace, defense, or military aviation industries.
- Background with the U.S. Department of Defense or U.S. Military.
- Strong project management experience.
- Aircraft maintenance tracking software and aircraft records database experience.
- Experience training and mentoring personnel.
- Data entry and clerical experience.
- Ability to type 35+ words per minute.
- Familiarity with rotable and non-rotable aircraft parts certification and documentation.
- Ability to effectively support records leadership responsibilities when required.
