D&B Construction is looking for Construction Project Manager to handle new construction projects within its San Antonio office. DD&B is selective in its hiring and is looking for someone to whom can fit the organizations culture of hard-work, honesty, and professionalism.
Position: Assistant Construction Project Manager
Location: San Antonio, Texas and vicinity
Responsibilities for Construction Project Manager include:
- Maintaining adherence to DD&B Construction standards of safety; ensuring that required documentation is filed
- Creating and managing project budget for all assigned projects
- Developing per-construction RFP package
- Conducting project meetings, and setting milestones and formulating monthly owner report
- Establishing job processes (RFI’s, submittals, and pay applications) including approving pay applications and negotiating subcontract change orders
- Performing project scheduling; ensuring project quality control and establishing overall project logistics
- Managing the closeout process
- Buy-out projects
- Write AIA subcontracts
- Coordinate with Project Superintendents
- Communicate with Bank Reps, Owners, and Franchises
- Communicate with Architects, Engineers for RFIs and job related issues
- Review all Shop Drawings
- Handle entire submittal process with Owners/Architects/Engineers
Qualifications:
- BA/BS degree equivalent to project management
- Experience in commercial construction, including experience with a commercial general contractor
- Previous experience in a Project Management role with the ability to execute multiple projects simultaneously
- Strong commercial building knowledge in order to prepare cost estimates for bidding purposes.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills, including ability to present complex information in a clear and concise manner
- Ability to organize necessary resources, including people, tools and time to meet tight deadlines and achieve desired results
- Working knowledge of current market conditions including pricing conventions and trends
- Consistent attention to details with the ability to identify discrepancies
- Proficient in Microsoft Office and strong computer skills
- Knowledge and ability to read and understand construction specs and drawings
- General Construction knowledge and experience
- Willing to travel to job site as needed
- Computer skills and scheduling experience
Job Type: Full-time
Pay: $65,000.00 - $125,000.00 per year
