Job Overview
We are seeking a highly skilled and motivated Radiologic Technologist to join our dynamic medical imaging team. In this vital role, you will perform a wide range of diagnostic imaging procedures, including X-ray, CT scans, mammography, DEXA scans, PET scans, fluoroscopy, nuclear medicine, and interventional radiology. Your expertise will directly contribute to accurate diagnosis and patient care in a fast-paced environment that emphasizes safety, precision, and compassionate service. This position offers an exciting opportunity to work within a Level I Trauma Center or Level II Trauma Center setting, providing comprehensive emergency and diagnostic radiology services. The ideal candidate is energetic, detail-oriented, and committed to implementing radiation safety protocols while delivering exceptional patient care.
Duties
- Operate and maintain advanced radiologic imaging equipment such as X-ray machines, CT scanners, mammography units, DEXA scanners, PET scanners, fluoroscopy units, and nuclear medicine devices.
- Perform diagnostic radiology procedures with precision and attention to detail to ensure high-quality images for accurate interpretation.
- Assist in emergency room settings by providing urgent care imaging support during trauma or critical cases.
- Follow strict radiation safety procedures to protect patients and staff from unnecessary exposure while ensuring optimal image quality.
- Apply thorough knowledge of human anatomy and physiology to position patients correctly for various imaging modalities.
- Collaborate with physicians and healthcare teams to facilitate diagnostic evaluation and interventional radiology procedures.
- Maintain meticulous records of all procedures performed and ensure compliance with healthcare regulations and safety standards.
Skills
- Extensive experience in urgent care settings with proficiency in emergency room imaging techniques.
- Strong background in sonography, interventional radiography, mammography, DEXA scans, CT imaging, fluoroscopy, nuclear medicine, and PET scans.
- Deep understanding of radiation safety procedures and implementing radiation protection protocols effectively.
- Knowledge of medical terminology related to radiology and diagnostic evaluation processes.
- Ability to operate a wide range of medical imaging equipment confidently and efficiently.
- Familiarity with aseptic techniques necessary for interventional radiology procedures.
- Excellent patient care skills with a compassionate approach to diverse patient populations.
- Proven experience working within Level I or Level II trauma centers is highly desirable.
- Strong knowledge of anatomy and physiology to ensure accurate positioning and image acquisition in diagnostic radiology.

Pay: $60.26 - $79.85 per hour

Education:
- High school or equivalent (Required)
Experience:
- Radiology Imaging: 3 years (Required)
- Mammography: 1 year (Required)
- Epic, SECTRA PACS and PACSGear: 1 year (Preferred)
License/Certification:
- JRCERT program completion in Radiology (Required)
- CRT-M Certification (Required)
- CRT Certification (Required)
- American Heart Association Certification for BLS (Required)
