Job Summary
We are seeking a highly skilled and motivated professional to join our team as a Balancing and Engine Maintenance, Repair, and Overhaul (MRO) specialist within the aviation industry. In this dynamic role, you will be responsible for ensuring the precise balancing of aircraft engines, performing comprehensive maintenance procedures, and supporting engine overhaul activities. Your expertise will contribute to maintaining the highest standards of safety, reliability, and performance for our fleet. This position offers an exciting opportunity to work with cutting-edge industrial automation tools, CAD software, and manufacturing engineering techniques to optimize engine performance and streamline repair processes.
Responsibilities
- Perform dynamic and static balancing of engine rotating components, including rotors, shafts, fans, compressors, turbines, and associated assemblies.
- Set up, operate, and maintain balancing machines and related measuring equipment.
- Interpret engineering drawings, OEM manuals, work instructions, and balancing specifications.
- Calculate balance corrections and perform weight adjustments as required.
- Document balancing results and maintain accurate inspection and maintenance records.
- Verify components meet dimensional, weight, and balance tolerances before release.
- Support engine disassembly, assembly, and inspection activities as needed.
- Ensure all work is completed in accordance with FAA regulations, OEM requirements, and company procedures.
- Identify non-conforming parts and communicate discrepancies to Engineering or Quality.
- Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work environment.
- Participate in continuous improvement initiatives to enhance quality and operational efficiency.
Qualifications
- Proven experience in manufacturing engineering or industrial engineering roles within an aerospace or aviation environment.
- Experience performing balancing operations in an aviation, aerospace, or precision manufacturing environment.
- Ability to read and interpret technical manuals, engineering drawings, and specifications.
- Experience operating balancing equipment and precision measuring instruments.
- Strong mechanical aptitude and attention to detail.
- Basic computer skills for documentation and data entry.
- Ability to lift up to 50 lbs and work in a production environment.
