Duties
- Operate heavy construction machinery including dozers, loaders, backhoes, excavators, cranes, and dump trucks to move materials and prepare sites effectively.
- Conduct routine inspections and maintenance of equipment to ensure optimal performance and safety compliance.
- Handle materials using specialized equipment such as material handlers, water trucks, tanker trucks, and roll-off trucks to support various project needs.
- Follow all safety procedures and occupational safety regulations while using personal protective equipment (PPE) to maintain a secure work environment.
- Assist with site setup and cleanup activities, ensuring the construction area remains organized and hazard-free.
- Collaborate with team members to coordinate equipment usage and project timelines efficiently.
- Maintain detailed records of equipment operation, maintenance logs, and safety inspections for accountability.
Requirements
- Proven experience operating construction machinery such as dozers, loaders, excavators, cranes (including crane operation), backhoes, and front loader trucks.
- Strong knowledge of hydraulics, mechanical systems, and basic hand tools used in equipment maintenance and repair.
- Valid commercial driver’s license (CDL) with experience driving heavy trucks including dump trucks, water trucks, tanker trucks, roll-off trucks, and farm machinery.
- Construction site experience demonstrating familiarity with safety procedures and occupational safety regulation compliance.
- Ability to perform routine maintenance on construction machinery and troubleshoot mechanical issues effectively.
- Knowledge of construction materials handling equipment operation for efficient site logistics.
- Excellent understanding of safety regulations related to heavy equipment operation and the use of PPE at all times.
