Looking for an enthusiastic, intelligent individual to inspect, monitor, report, and consult on active residential, commercial, industrial, road, and infrastructure civil construction sites throughout Middle Tennessee for compliance with environmental regulations pertaining to storm water and natural resources. Our employees report daily to our office near the Nashville airport. We work four ten-hour days (MTRF). There is occasional overtime.
You must have the ability to start this job by July 13, 2026.
Duties:
- Inspect active civil construction sites to determine compliance with environmental regulations, project specifications, and client policy and goals.
- Review construction plans, details, and documents to understand project requirements and objectives and determine compliance.
- Monitor construction progress and accurately report and document changes to plans.
- Communicate clearly with supervisors, contractors, clients, regulators, and engineers to understand and resolve critical issues and concerns.
Qualifications
- Excellent attention to detail and ability to identify discrepancies or deviations from specifications.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Ability to understand engineering plans and details. We will train.
- Effective communication skills and the ability to interact in a positive manner with clients, contractors, colleagues, and the public.
- Ability to work independently without supervision, understand priorities, and manage time responsibly.
- Solid experience with Windows-based products and software.
- Curiosity and willingness to learn.
- Reliable, honest, hard-working, and honorable.
Requirements:
- A valid, non-restricted driver’s license and a safe driving record is mandatory. We reimburse mileage of your vehicle at the current federal mileage reimbursement rate.
- Physically able to walk several miles per day on uneven surfaces in all weather conditions.
Plus:
- TDEC/UT Level 1, Level 2, CPESC, CESSWI, or CISEC certification or equivalent certifications from other states, prior industry experience.
Advancement:
Level 2 Inspector, Environmental Consultant, Permit Writer, Compliance Manager, Field Manager, Area Manager with excellent performance evaluations, education, certification, and experience.

Pay: $24.00/Hr to start. This is firm if there is no prior experience in this field. Certification and experience in this specific field will be considered a plus.
