Responsibilities
- Assist residents with Activities of Daily Living (ADLs), including bathing, dressing, grooming, and mobility support using equipment such as Hoyer lifts when necessary
- Monitor and record vital signs like blood pressure, pulse, and temperature to track health status
- Provide companionship and social engagement to enhance residents’ emotional well-being through conversation, activities, and recreational outings
- Maintain a clean and safe environment by assisting with light housekeeping tasks such as cleaning resident areas and ensuring infection control standards are met
- Collaborate with healthcare professionals, families, and team members to develop personalized care plans that meet each resident’s unique needs
Requirements
- Previous experience in assisted living, nursing homes, or home & community care environments is highly preferred
- Knowledge of caring for individuals with developmental disabilities or dementia is essential
- Certification in first aid and CPR is required;
- Ability to work effectively in personal care homes with diverse resident populations
- Strong communication skills to interact compassionately with residents, families, and team members
- Valid driver’s license for transportation duties if required for community outings or appointments
- Demonstrated ability to follow detailed care plans and adhere to safety protocols consistently
- Background check will be performed
