Job Overview
We are seeking a dynamic and energetic Retail Assistant Store Manager to lead our site operations with enthusiasm and a customer-centric mindset. Duties
- Lead and supervise retail staff, including hiring, training, and performance evaluations to ensure high standards of customer service and operational excellence
- Manage inventory control, stock replenishment, and merchandising to maximize sales potential and maintain attractive product displays
- Oversee sales transactions using POS (Point of Sale) systems, handle cash handling procedures, and ensure accurate bookkeeping and payroll processing
- Ensure marketing efforts to boost store performance
- Conduct employee orientation sessions, interviewing candidates, and supporting ongoing training & development initiatives
- Supervise shift management, ensuring proper staffing levels, time management, and adherence to store policies
- Foster strong customer relationships through excellent communication skills, phone etiquette, and personalized service
Skills
- Proven management experience in retail or grocery store environments with supervising responsibilities
- Strong negotiation skills for vendor relations and sales strategies
- Excellent communication skills in multiple languages; bilingual abilities are highly valued
- Demonstrated expertise in recruiting, interviewing, onboarding new employees, and conducting training & development programs
- Proficiency in inventory management systems, POS technology, Trendar and Mudflap payment processing as well as merchandising techniques, and retail math
- Ability to handle cash operations accurately while maintaining compliance with security procedures
- Leadership qualities with experience in team management, supervising staff shifts, and motivating teams toward shared goals
- Organizational skills for effective stock control, purchasing decisions, budgeting, and administrative tasks
- Knowledge of wireless sales or specialty retail sectors is a plus; familiarity with marketing strategies is beneficial
- Strong time management skills to prioritize tasks efficiently in a fast-paced environment

Pay: $18.50 - $20.00 per hour
